One
by Beth Robbins Terry
Beneath the morning sky the sun dawns bright
The window beckons me to view the scene.
Beyond, an untouched blessing, so pristine.
The lucent crystals glisten in the light.
My heart is full to brimming, my eyes are wet.
I’ve just emerged from deepest, darkest hour.
I’ve sought dispel to find the Greater Power.
The beauty displayed here in my repose,
Is made for me alone from One who knows.
And only One can comprehend my joy
At the reception of this brilliant sight.
Such vistas set apart for me alone,
Sent here by One are timely shown.
I’m loved so deeply, I now know
I’m never left as a lone soul.
This Divine witness has come sure.
It’s message clear, it’s message pure.
I am beloved. I feel replete.
I kneel to now reciprocate.
In striving my attempts do fail.
An ancient Prophet put it well.
“Unprofitable Servant” comes to mind.
Yet One beholds and is so kind.
He bids us to be One with Him.
Draw in His strength, begin again.
Endurance is His gift to me.
I can press forward willingly.
I did emerge from deepest, darkest night.
He is my One true cherished Source Of Light.
